Thank You
This poem was written for the thank you note that I sent to Jerry and Sherri Bletzacker. Analia, Jenny and I had gone to Sacramento for the weekend for a visit with Analia's mother and our friends, the McCoys. Monday afternoon Analia's back started hurting and by evening she couldn't stand up straight. We don't know if it was the long ride in the car or just sleeping in a strange bed but she was flat on her back the rest of the week. Wednesday evening when I got home from work, Jerry and Sherri were there with dinner. The meal was very nice but that wasn't the best thing. I could always go out for dinner or fix it my self but you can't get friends like these at McDonalds.

Thank You
Thank you for being
So thoughtful and sweet
And
bringing us dishes
Of good things to
eat.
Thank you for being
So loving and kind.
You're truly
the best friends
We ever could
find.
When we were found wanting,
You met every need.
You
dropped what you were doing
And came with great
speed.
When life runs amuck
Or plans go awry,
When your
health's out of whack
And you're ready to
cry,
When you're down in a funk
And turning right
blue,
It's super to know
That we've good friends like
you.
