Ron

This is another of the limericks I wrote for birthday cards for friends.  This one was for Ron Pedersen, my backpacking partner and one of my dearest friends.  The idea for this one came from a trip we took in 1987 to the Desolation Wilderness.  We were camping on the shore of Schmidell Lake.  We had just got back from a short hike up to the top of the ridge and were ready for a swim.  We both were in the water and making the required amount of noise when one is swimming in a mountain lake when we saw a girl lying on a rock next to the shore.  We both had bathing suits on but when I think back on the scene, it's easy to imagine otherwise.

Ron

There once was a hiker named Ron
Who went swimming with his skivvies on.
He saw a fair lass
At the edge of the grass.
Now where could those skivvies have gone?
