Party

This poem was written for the invitation to a baby shower for our friend Darlene Miller and her new baby Danny. Darlene was a convert to the church and I had been the home teacher for her family most of the time that they had lived in the area. She was quite over weight and they had been trying to have a baby for some time. So when she finally had Danny, we were all very happy for them. They have since moved to Utah but I think of them often.

Come to our party and have a good time
And see the child that has come.
A gift, it would do, but mostly it's you
We'd like to have join in our fun.
