I wrote this limerick while hiking with Analia in Castle Rock State Park. As the title suggests, it was written to put in John's birthday card this year.

There once was a hunter named John

Who startled a delicate fawn.

She dove through the brush

In a terrible rush.

Alas, if she'd known so did John.
