Courtney
This
limerick was written for Courtney, the daughter of my niece, Melissa
Terry. We were all sitting around
talking at a visit to Melissa's home in Everett Washington. At one pointwhile my
sister, Lavene Bell was playing with Courtney, she said, "Courtney, do you
think that Uncle Gale knows that you are a fliberty jibbit? Now I haven't the
faintest idea what a
fliberty
jibbit is but it brought giggles from this lovely little girl. I decided that anyone who was a fliberty
jibbit, certainly ought to have a limerick written about them.

Courtney
Courtney, a fliberty jibbit,
Had a gift and wanted to give it.
She gave a great sigh
And started to cry,
Won't someone take a left-handed widget?
